Our client is seeking an Associate Security Architect that will maintain and enforce corporate information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for IT systems across all platforms and infrastructures.
-Maintain user access roles and perform application administration for role based access control tooling.
-Perform detailed security analysis and provide recommendations to senior team members.
-Develop and execute auditing processes to identify anomalies.
-Develop, test, and implement approved information access controls.
-Develop, document, test, and execute test plans and acceptance for security related application and system enhancements.
-Perform standard and non-standard processing of security authorization requests.
-Design and execute compliance reporting to identify potential security violations.
-Partner with senior staff to evaluate, select, install, and configure hardware and software systems that provide appropriate security functions and/or controls.
-Assist network resource owners and IT staff in understanding and responding to security-related audit issues and security access exceptions.
-Educate information / resource owners in the implementation of necessary information security controls.
Position Requirements: No clearance required
Desired Education: Associates Degree at a minimum.
Hands-on experience typically gained from 2-3 years working in the following domains and demonstrating the following requisite skills:
-Familiarity with audit and risk-related methodologies; such as COBIT.
-Systems administration experience within other aspects of IT, networking skills strongly desired.
-Demonstrated security administration experience (Networking, UNIX, OS390 Mainframe, iSeries, Windows / Active Directory).
-Previous Security Operations experience.
-Analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to present and discuss technical information to users with varying technical expertise.
-Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies.
-Flexibility to handle pressure from many directions simultaneously.
-Must be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships across multiple teams.
-Strong customer focus and the ability to manage customer expectations.
-Must have strong team-oriented interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people.
-Demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement.
Comptia Security +,GIAC, CISA, or other security/audit/field.
Related certifications preferred.
