Job Title: Senior Network Administrator - Redseal Specialist

Location: US-PA-Philadelphia

Targeted Start: 1/28/2013

Overview:

 

The Sr. Network Administrator – Redseal Specialist will perform day-to-day operational duties and will mature the use of Redseal Network technologies in a large Service Provider environment.

 

Contract Length: 12+ Months

 

Location: Philadelphia, PA

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Security Administrator – Redseal Specialist will use his/her knowledge of networking to mature the use of Redseal Network technologies on the network and will provide an operational support role for the Redseal solution on site. 

Assure that the Redseal implementation properly gathers the configurations of all the network devices: firewalls, routers, and load balancers and, by analyzing how the rules on all of these devices work together to defend business assets, builds an accurate virtual model of the network. 
Use Redseal to continually measure the baseline of device security configurations deployed throughout the organization 
Define required policies in Redseal and analyze compliance on an ongoing basis to confirm that controls are in place and functioning consistent with compliance requirements 
Create custom reports that effectively communicate metrics to management 
Write deliverables and complete project documentation 
Maintain a subject-matter-expert relationship with the client by providing support, information, and guidance as well as research and recommend new solutions and services

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience in multiple large-scale network environments (500+ network devices) 
Experience in a range of types of networks (Enterprise, Ecommerce, Service Provider) 
Strong troubleshooting skills in a large-scale network environment 
Understanding of Network Layer (2, 3, and 4) concepts and technologies, including: 
     IPv4 Subnetting, NAT; and IPv6 
     Packet-level understanding of basic TCP/IP Protocols including ICMP, UDP, TCP 
     BGP 
     Peering 
     DSCP 
     STP and VLANs 
     Anti-Virus 

 

Desired Education:

 

Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Desired Certifications:

 

CISSP, CEH, CISM or other professional security certifications are preferred
